Toxic is an exhibition that coincides with Images Beyond the Naked Eye, a travelling show organized by WWF. Toxic was conceived in order to give Greek artists the opportunity to examine the world’s most critical problems: the greenhouse effect, global warming, and the gradual destruction of the natural environment.
Both Toxic and Images Beyond the Naked Eye reflect the Foundation’s unwavering interest in manifestations of contemporary art which approach crucial issues of contemporary life, record its complexity, and directly communicate its concerns to the general public. Most of the works exhibited are made specifically for this show.
