ASSAULT ON THE SENSES

The exhibition Assault on the Senses features works by eight emerging artists, namely Dimitris Dokatzis, Haris Kondosfiris, Giannis Kourakis, Aphrodite Liti, Miltos Manetas, Ilias Marmaras, Maria Papadrimitriou and Tassos Pavlopoulos. While these artists belong to the same generation, their style, areas of focus, means of expression and the artistic attitudes they employ vary greatly. Assault on the Senses mirrors the pluralism and diversity of the contemporary art scene, where diverse artistic approaches and viewpoints coexist and, in essence, explores the notion of the artwork as an assailant on the senses.
