Presented at the Nicosia Municipal Arts Center in Cyprus, Forever contains a cross-section of works from the Dakis Joannou Collection in an effort to give the viewer a general idea of its orientation. The installation has been planned in such a way as to indicate the Collection’s principal thematic axes of interest and has been separated into four distinctive categories; From Figure to Object / From Object to Figure; Corporal Angst / The Ailing Body; Anthropocentrism, Identity Politics and the Transformation of the Self; Multi-Cultural Politics and the Intersection of the Global and the Local.
Forever is organized by the DESTE Foundation in collaboration with the Nicosia Municipal Arts Center, the Pierides Museum of Contemporary Art and the Laiki Group Cultural Center.
