For the second edition of the destefashioncollection, DESTE invited photographer Juergen Teller to create works inspired by five movements that he considered important and influential in fashion in 2008. These works, inspired by fashion items by American Apparel, Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang Louis Vuitton and Bernhard Willhelm, celebrate the marriage of fashion and art as a commercial strategy, examine the use of celebrity to further promote fashion, evaluate the dilution of ready-to-wear and couture of the high street market and look at the missing heroes of fashion.
